Generally speaking, they deal with many persons everyday. Probably guarded at times because the people requesting help are running with emotions high. They tend to forget these workers are trying to help. if you self reflect ar times when you have dealt with that nature all we hear is the tone and not what is being said. in my personal experience I have noticed that when I start off by saying, "thank you for your time. I appreciate it," the worker seems less guarded and is more helpful.
