If I am interested in fostering dog or a cat, how exactly does the process of taking it home go? Does the Humane society provide the food for the Foster Animal?

They provided some food, we provided some as well (tax deductable as a cash donation) because driving there is far for us. We also provide nicer kitty litter, toys, etc than what they have to offer.
