I can't believe that person told you to call the post office in question. There is no telephone number listed anywhere for that post office or any others I'm sure. You cannot get a live person at the 800 number. Automated response categories are so limited, consumers are unable to even use the automated system unless they want to buy stamps. It was this way before Covid so that excuse cannot be used. Try tracking down a package that USPS tracking shows as delivered but you DID NOT RECEIVE.
You should call them.
