You only need to sign a waiver to use the range. After thay, you pay for your lane, ammo, and gun rental (if you need one).
If you're going there alone you will not be able to rent/shoot. You must bring a friend. Aside from that you will not be able to shoot unless you or your friend knows how- you'll have to take a class first. They can be found here (https://www.nrainstructors.org/search.aspx) or they have some offerings at the range now. Next is just lane rental fees (your eye/ear protection is included) and ammo/targets. You just have to pay the entrance fee and sign a waiver. You can use their equipments free of charge as long as you purchase the amunition from them. If you belong to a certain club, the entrance fee is much cheaper. Just follow the rules and you are good to go. Be safe
