Is the museum open on mother’s day Sunday? And is there a little restaurant ?

No Restaurant, but the Cafe across the street is excellent. The museum also allows people to leave & come back on the same day.

Patti...I agree with priors. No food service inside museum. Hours...YOU should always personally call ALL museums just before as many have special events or installation days when normal hours are suspended.
