Lovely gallery space. They have a great permanent collection of Laguna artists I wish they had more of their artworks on display. $12 entry. Closed Wednesday.

I visited the Laguna Art Museum this past weekend with my family and had an amazing time! The exhibits were diverse and interesting, and the staff was super welcoming. My sister and I had a wonderful time speaking with Jennifer about the art. She was insightful and listened to our interpretations of the art. Loved it!

Hidden Gem !!! While most people visit Laguna for the beach and good food, one must realize that Laguna is also an artist haven. This is a small three level museum with a carefully curated collection that features Laguna’s art vibe. The main floor features permanent collection, the upper level currently features black and white photographs and the lower level pays tribute to the Pageant of the Masters. Plan to spend 30 - 45 minutes. I should thank the Docent, Mr. Robert Powers who was awesome in providing insights about the exhibits.

This is a fantastic location with extremely friendly safe. Parking is really the only issue, but that's not the museum's fault. So plan ahead when coming, the place is small but that's not an insult. All the pieces are quite amazing, so since the place is small I feel like I have more time to appreciate all the art instead of trying to hurry up and see everything. If you're in or around Laguna beach, add a trip to the museum on your list of things to do.

any experience visiting with kids ? are there interactive activities or hands on art for kids?

Maria Diaz | Feb 22, 2022
Matthew Gerard | Feb 22, 2022

Yes! They have a LAM Lab area for hands on arts and crafts. They often cycle projects and they have different events and programs for kids. Great spot for a bit of a reprieve in Laguna. Then you can do the beach or Heisler Park to run the kids around. Don't go to Las Brisas though. Tourist trap. Royal Hawaiian is great or someplace in downtown by the beach.
