There are 3 options for US Passport (regular) holder (not emergency passport) : 1. Visa waiver, not more than 30 days, for tourism and social visit, unextendable, unconvertable; 2. Visa on arrival valid for 30 days ($ 35), can be extended in Immigration office (in Indonesia) one time (another 30 days), not for work, not for journalism, not for movie processing/making; 3. Apply single visit visa in Indonesian Consulate ($ 50) max 60 days, can be extended in Immigration office 4 times @ 30 days...authorization from Jakarta is needed for work, journalism, and movie
