Take the Metro Red Line subway to the Universal City station. Go outside and walk across the sky-bridge to the free shuttle / tram station for a ride up the steep hill.
Riding Rapid transit is a snap. Free shuttle from Subway exit and parking is in same area to City walk and park entrance.
You can take it yo the Universal City station and catch a shuttle to CityWalk
