The lobster roll is prepared the same as it has always been prepared by the same chef (19 years, longest standing chef at a restaurant in town). It is the same bun and the same amount of lobster. The lobster roll was priced at $22 for almost 15 years and market prices weren't kept up with in the past. When using fresh shucked lobster meat, never frozen, the price is based on quality as we only use the freshest and highest quality meats and seafood here at Hurricane. We don't make very much money on Lobster Rolls in general. A restaurant down the street has theirs at $28 and other restaurants on the lower end (usually because they use frozen lobster meat or because they catch the lobsters themselves). I'm sorry your perception over the years is making it seem smaller but I can guarantee it's the same size. I have heard nothing but great things about our lobster roll this season. Cheers, ~Taylor Benenti
I never had a lobster roll at Hurricane nor have I ever had a bad meal.
$24 is actually very fair. At Sebago Brewing Co. Its around $24 as well. I think about anywhere you go. You wont pay any less than $20 for a good quality lobster roll. I havent had one from Hurricane. So size I cant say. But they are usually 5 to 7 inches long. Just depends on what kind of bread and how much they put into it.
