Food was amazing and served as a great final dinner to our trip. Went with 4 stars as it was one if the most expensive lobsters available in the area. The chefs creation (Catch if the Day) was fun and enjoyable as it provided a depth of flavor with each bite (Atlantic swordfish, topped eith lobsters and shrimp sauce). Recommend this location and would return.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hurricane! Carson was our server, and he guided us to the best tasting plates. We started with the onion soup (mind-blowingly good with the puff pastry) and lobster chowder. I had the house salad, which was crunchy and tangy with the pistachios and peppercorn dressing. The shrimp for the shrimp cocktail were plump and firm, and the cocktail sauce had just the right amount of spice from the horseradish. The beef tenderloin carpaccio was flavorful and delicious. My husband ordered the 2lb stuffed lobster, and every bite was perfect. I had the salmon, which was fresh and perfectly cooked and paired well with the Asian inspired noodles and sauce. I highly recommend you check out this restaurant while in Kennebunk, and ask for Carson as your server.

Amazing restaurant on the water. The views were really pretty, the live music was a great touch and the food was incredible. The staff was super friendly and attentive. A definite must eat when in the area!!!

The lobster roll is prepared the same as it has always been prepared by the same chef (19 years, longest standing chef at a restaurant in town). It is the same bun and the same amount of lobster. The lobster roll was priced at $22 for almost 15 years and market prices weren't kept up with in the past. When using fresh shucked lobster meat, never frozen, the price is based on quality as we only use the freshest and highest quality meats and seafood here at Hurricane. We don't make very much money on Lobster Rolls in general. A restaurant down the street has theirs at $28 and other restaurants on the lower end (usually because they use frozen lobster meat or because they catch the lobsters themselves). I'm sorry your perception over the years is making it seem smaller but I can guarantee it's the same size. I have heard nothing but great things about our lobster roll this season.
