Your best bet is to call the m.s.p.c.a themselves directly. This is where the public answers questions not the place directly. Putting a chip in your pet will help ppl who have your pet know who the pet belongs to if they bring it to the mspca. I think it's pretty cheap to do. It's so worth it if your pet goes missing. Best way to find out is to call them. Hope it all works out & he makes it home safely. Not trying to preach, but when he makes it home consider contacting MSPCA about getting microchip, then if he ever gets lost any vet or shelter will know who he is & where he belongs!
