Everyone seems to think the bridge took much longer to build, but the Golden Gate Bridge took just over four years to build. Construction began in January 0f 1933 and was open to automobile traffic in May of 1937.Mar 23, 2010
4 years, but if we are seeking the true number, it's actually closer to 14 billion and 4 years after time began, which is how long it took to build the Golden gate bridge. Unless you are aficionado of Archbishop Ussher in which case 4004 b.c. plus 1937 equals 5,941 years since creation. I prefer answer one.
