Lighthouse itself was good, can tour the inside 1st floor only. Quite breezy, need to hold caps and glasses. Beautiful views of San Francisco and the Golden gate Bridge as it was very clear weather. Adam, the seasonal Park 🏞 ranger was very friendly, informative and outgoing. Interesting to find out the lighthouse was moved to its existing location because it was on top of the hill (not far away) and was not effective enough because of the fog, just a 💯 or so feet lower made a huge difference.

Awesome location with beautiful vistas of the golden gate bridge. A small trail leads to the light house, which can be slightly steep on the return. Restrooms at the parking level.

We enjoyed a Saturday trip to Point Bonita Lighthouse. Although parking is an issue. It is worth to be patient and wait for a parking spot. It’s a nice walk and a beautiful view and I recommend to take the time and read about the history and learn about it in the lighthouse.

Fantastic view of Golden Gate Bridge 🌉 amidst the ocean 🌊 It’s even more beautiful during the sunset 🌅 time. Also, the place is very windy and chill - remember to layer up. There are quite a few parking spots - additional spots were available too. Restrooms were present. Overall very nice place to enjoy Golden Gate Bridge view. I think the lighthouse is open open on Sunday and Monday until 3:30 🕞 haven’t got a chance to checkout the lighthouse.

Yes, it's open.
You can only get to the lighthouse when the visitor center is open. There is a gated tunnel along the way that would keep you out.
Sorry it's been Temperaraly Closed. Yeah it's Covid-19 related. Check back with us often because we don't know when it will re-open.
No
this was where first communication with USA mainland was contacted about the attack then Washington DC was contacted, this was explained by Park Ranger
Dogs are not allowed on the trail to the lighthouse. A park ranger made someone go back to the parking area with their dog and wait for their group at their car while we were there.
no there is an iron gate
Closed until further notice
It's all closed
No, just go early to get a parking spot!!
Its open Sundays and Mondays. Noon til around 4? Its a popular attraction, but due to staffing and other issues its only open two days.
The tunnel is open daily...one certain busy holidays...the tunnel may be open just one way...but there will be detour directions to direct you over the Marin headlands west of the Golden Gate Bridge... Hope that helps...
There is a tunnel that prevent you from getting to the light house and since it is located on the other side of a big Rock formation you can't see the lighthouse at all unless it's during open hours
Not predictable. Phone Rangers as we were there when the light house was supposed to be open: it wasen't. And no info on door on what tel# to call and learn the open hours. Not a demonstration of Ranger focus on visitors!!!
There are a few benches along the beginning of the route, but for the majority of the trail there is not.
No reservations needed. I doubt it's closed. But check the website to be sure.
The tunnel halfway to the lighthouse is open only during visiting hours: Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
