The north part was owned by Mr. Clap, the house and barn sat where the tennis courts and pound are at. The land was also used by a Archery Club. Mr. Clap donated the property to the state and they begin to build the park.

Art Van Ata is NOT part of the Five Rivers Metro Parks. So their schedule may vary. It s some times closed for maintenance or repair or for preparation for special events Generally it is open from sun rise to sun set. Realy nice part, with tennis, soft ball, fishing, and walking trails. It has shelters, tables, restrooms, and play gym. Realy nice clean park .l've gone there for decades

This a park., not a camp ground. It does have picnic shelters but you have to contact Motgomery County for reservation information
