The golden gate Bridge has not collapsed since it was built in 1932. The closest it came was in may of 1987 when the bridge was closed and over 300,000 people walked on it and it visibly sank over 10 feet. Not even the loma prieta earthquake in 1989 collapsed the bridge. This is not to say that any number of Hollywood directors have destroyed the bridge for a movie.
It was fine last week when I drove over it, why do people keep asking if it collapsed or not?
