Where do I search to find the price of a home sold in the past five years? Also, this property had a reverse mortgage [before the sale], where can I find what that amount was?

You can find everything you need at the Hall of Records that is if it has been recorded. Everything is on Microfilm and Tapes. They have a machine and review them. It helps if you know what your looking for. If it is property that you looking for information on. You can also ask a realtor they have an amazine log of recoreds that are seperate from the Hall of Records. It all depends on what it is that your looking for. There are several ways, but the easiest way is to go on line look up the address or the owners name on line. You can order copies on line and view them immediately. Otherwise you can go to the office in Santa Ana, and fill out the form with the document number that you want a copy of. You can also view the copies no charge on line. It is easier to go to the office to view them, but if you dont want to deal with that you can go on line and look everything up. Remember that the online search is limited to 3 years per search.
