The ticket booth is manned, but I don't know how many tickets they are selling. We had a specific time to enter and we purchased our tickets in advance. If you want tickets and don't want to risk waiting a long time, I recommend advance purchase. Have fun!

As most of the comments have mentioned the best way to get tickets is on line or call the zoo and make a reservation
They recommend that you purchase online to ensure that you won't be disappointed if they are currently fully occupied. They are limiting attendance during the pandemic so you may not get in until a later time or even date!
I saw a few people getting tickets at the gate, but my suggestion is to purchase in advance, just to guarantee your entrance 😉 Have fun
