You can take him to any veterinary clinic close to your house to get check for a microchip if he doesn't have any collar with tags of identifications on him. But you would stil have to bring him to the shelter to issue his license and you would have to take him to the veterinarian and pay separately for his shots and if you want to sterilize him. They will not charge you anything if they just check to see if he has a microchip. Don't bring him to the shelter until you are absolutely positive that he doesn't have a microchip because they will make you leave him here for at least five business days to see if somebody else comes to claim him. If within those five days nobody comes to claim him he will be put up for adoption and if alot of people are interested in taking him the person who pays more money will be allowed to take him and you might lose the opportunity to do so forever. You will need to spend around $200 for the shots surgery, license and microchip.

If they don't have a collar I'd bring them in to get checked for a chip (make sure you're from San Gabriel otherwise they'll turn you away to another humane society that's public and serves your area) but vaccinations and chipping costs will vary, I'd say as little as $150 to 300+ when totalling costs like vaxx and a county license
