Levi's levis must be constricting blood flow to the brain! The popular surf spot San Onofre is just north of the now defunct nuclear power plant, it costs $15 for day use, and closes around 8-9pm, there is also a San Onofre "Bluffs" campground where you can camp for the aforementioned $70per night. If you get zonie blocked there is also the San Mateo campground just across Hwy 5 up a nearby beautiful valley that they want to pave over with a toll road. The bluffs are more rustic than most campgrounds, have longish trails to the beach, and showers with bees the last time I was there. Still one of my faves, and a fun fact, it has an offshore nursery for juvenile great whites. Enjoy
Can't Camp at this beach
I stayed at the state campground just around the corner from Trestles, didn't have direct beach access but good prices and hot showers, nice after spending weeks in a van on the PCH...
70 per night. Water and power hook ups
