Service dogs only are welcome on the property. There are ample walking areas on the nearby Penobscot Experimental Forest. Just continue on past the Visitors Center and there are miles of scenic road that can be walked. (I am a MFLM Board member)

As Terri said, we only allow registered service animals on the grounds. We try to make sure all of our guests enjoy their visit. Since we had a guest be bitten by a dog on the grounds, we ask that people walk their dogs along the Government Road and not on our property. Our volunteers work very hard to maintain the grounds, so it's best that dogs not be on the property, so as to not make their jobs any harder. Thank you for asking.
