Hiking the hill and the outside platforms are free. When I went, I did not pay for parking but parking is limited. Carpooling is recommended. There is a fee for the shows inside the museum but some of the displays do not have a fee. There is a deli and gift shop as well with affordable snacks and drinks for the average person touring the area. The photo opps of the landscape are tremendous. Griffith Observatory is a must see for the outdoors, astronomy, or Hollywood fan looking for an inexpensive way to spend the afternoon and get some exercise.
No the observatory is free. If you want to see a show it's like 7 bucks per person. The whole facility other than that is free. There is a fee for parking
You can come in free, but you need to pay to enter the Observatory
