When the sky is clear in the evening the Observatory sets up telescopes for public to view through.

I have only visited the park during the day but I did see some informational bulletins about evening events for certain celestial phenomena occurring at certain times and worthy of venturing up the hill to observe. It is otherwise free to park and hike and enjoy nature.
