I like coming to this park with my kids but the only thing that hasn’t made my visit a peaceful one this summer is the uncertainty of their splash pad. Sometimes it’s on sometimes it’s off. Sometimes when I have called the office they have told me it turns off by its self. I’ve been told that it turns of on Saturday, on a different day they said that the water is filtering it’s self and that’s why there’s only two fountains working. They have also said that they don’t have any control over the water system, that it has a mind of its own. This is what I don’t understand. I usually call acting like I haven’t called the other times just to see what they say. The lady in the office said that she would have to call people that don’t work in the office to come and look at it. This has been the case for about 3 weeks now and the office has not been able to call those people to fix the splash pad. This is the closest splash pad there is for me. I would go to another but gas is expensive. I would just like to go to the splash pad on the hours that they say the water is on. It would give so many moms a peace of mind. I did ask the office lady if I could speak to her supervisor and she said he would probably tell me the same thing. I’m just wondering how we can properly fix the water pipes to be able to enjoy this splash pad properly.

It’s a nice park since the renovation a few years ago. There’s a really good playground for kids, basketball and tennis courts that are well maintained, one good baseball diamond that gets locked up, and another practice diamond that’s open. There’s a couple soccer fields that are in alright shape most of the time. And there’s a dirt path that meanders through the park and makes a nice loop through a grove of native plants. It’s not going to knock anyones socks off but it’s a solid neighborhood park, and it’s clean and well maintained. I just wish they would open both entrances every day during daylight hours.

Visiting family and decided to bring the littles one to the splash pad on this hot day. It was a big hit. Fun place for the kids. Nice shady trees all around.

I wasn’t immediately charmed by this park as a good place to walk my dog but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. Seems like a great park for kids and families; soccer and baseball fields, a large basketball court. Found a trail that goes along the railroad tracks with a nice variety of foliage. There is a large parking lot and it was quite full. Not my favorite park but it was nice for a change.

They are on only during summer. They close at 8. Its mainly made up of tubing that releases water and built in water guns.
