He’s been there a long time, and in my opinion, he’s a good bouncer. He does his job; there’s been plenty of times when people get too drunk for their own good. You need someone like that there to deal with some situations. People need to respect the venue and the staff.
Isn't it funny how they can't answer this? Does not seem like a reputable company.
Famous comedians go there and a strict professional tone must be set and boundaries known without doubt. If he has a reputation of " don't mess around here " and deters the jackles I say " Bravo " to the bouncer. I look forward to visiting knowing they have legit security. He is probably one of the reasons the well known artist show up. His job is not an easy one. Maybe he it s only aggressive to the people the well known artists don't like and those who are not a fit for The Store. Nice job.
I know him personally from many interactions over the last two years as a patron. He’s great at what he does and keeps things running right. He does come off as a someone not to be messed with and that is why the Comedy Store has a great tone. When people act like children and drunk fools; He handles it. He genuinely cares about the job and the venue. Keep it rollin’ man!
We went last night and the bouncer was very welcoming and personable. He did have to talk to a very drunk heckler but he gave her a quiet warning. Would definitely go again :)
The bouncer when I’ve been in 2018-2019 is friendly and firm. He does his job well.
Some of you guys don’t know the bouncer like I know him. He’s a sweetheart, kind, and he cares about comedy and the club a lot.
Bouncers don't go off on people for no reason at all. I've never had a problem there or anyplace else with bouncers. The people that have problems are almost always a little plowed, obnoxious or have attitudes like they are special. I guarantee that if a bouncer doesn't go off on someone for no reason at all. There is always something in a way a person acts. Now occasionally they will overreact. But there wouldn't be any reaction at all if the patron didn't do something to cause it.
If the bouncer was aggressive he had good reason. If he felt threatened or if he felt the staff or the act were in a confrontational situation he is 100% justified in getting aggressive. His job is to protect the people working there and the people who are paying money to have a good time.
He's just strict and mean. Which is kind of expected in their line of work. He's not "dangerously aggressive".
