I take my dog all the time.It is perfect for a dog.
The knoll is fairly pet friendly, the only spots where it would be sketchy would be Gods thumb because of the narrow trail with the huge drop offs
You can take a dog, the knoll is just wide open. Most of the hike is easy going but muddy.
I wouldn't take a dog.
