Does anyone know if they require people to get a criminal background check before adopting? Is it state law that they have to do them? I’m not asking for myself I’m asking in general for anyone adopting.

There is no background checks for pet adoptions. They do ask some questions and have you spend a short time with the pet to assure you are a good match.
