Best thing you can do if you're in need or can't afford dog food until payday is contact specific food companies and ask for them to send you samples. Not all companies do but some do. You can also talk to a local rescue (the shelter is NOT a normal rescue). Reach out to food stores in your area and ask if you can do something to earn food for your dog. Many small companies tend to be more willing to help you out if you truly are in need or can set you up with a company that can help you out. Hope this helps
