I live here with my child. You don't want to live here with your kid. I crossed a staff. And and she called CPS on me and my wife. Within a week of the CPS case being closed she called SPD on me and my wife. Attempting to get CPS back into our lives out of Revenge. Volunteers of America is not a family-friendly organization
I can't answer that question. Dawn Woolard is the administrator, or supervisor here. She would be the person to talk to, or one of the counselors. I know children are welcome here. A little girl just turned one was born here. Another lady babysits an 8 year old. Also a couple years ago a lady and her son lived here. I want to be honest. I wouldn't want a young child living here. The front door is swamped with homeless wanting to come in and sleep in friends apartments. Some of the folks, just a few are a bit tough around the edges to say. The staff does their best. We have security come on different nights. They are not here every night. If it's your last resort then this place would be ok. Anything is better than the streets. The ones they let move in at first, all had to have been homless for a couple of years to qualify. I love the solar power. The hot water don't run cold lol. Also no electric bill. Your best option is to call and ask for Dawn. The staff are a good group.
