The waterfalls area is down between lots of huge rocks and the trails go through the woods. There is really no place to get cover if it is thunderstorming but the waterfalls will probably be prettier while you get soaking wet. Depending on the direction of the rain, if you are at the bottom, maybe the tall rocks will block some of the rain from hitting you if you were to stand very close and against the rocks? If you are in the park where the parking area is, you can go in the buildings or the picnic shelters... or in the car.

Sadly no! But you could walk back to the main part and stay under the little house with the fake animals in it before you go into the trails
