Yes
NO!!! All of these answers are wrong. I don't know if the people answering 'yes' think they have a funny troll going, but it is illegal to have your dogs on the beach in Oceanside, leash or not. You can have them on the street / Boardwalk portion of The Strand but it is illegal to have dogs on the sand anywhere. The patrolling lifeguards or cops will ticket you, though some are nice and tell you to leave first but don't count on going and not being seen because the beaches are patrolled all throughout the day. It is also illegal to have your dog on the wooden part of the pier and that is even more strictly enforced because lifeguard headquarters is on the pier and it is constantly watched.
Technically, they are not supposed to be on the beach, but you are allowed to walk them on the strand or sidewalks. I see them on the pier as well, i thought the sign says no but that doesnt seem to be a major issue. Ive been warned on the beach before
They aren't supposed to be on the pier because there are LOTS of fishers up there and dogs could knock the poles over, or mess up the fish gutting stations. Lots of dead fish end up on the ground so even though people bring their dogs on, it wouldnt be sanitary for the dog to let a them walk around the pier where fish blood occasionally is.
Yes on a leash.
Yes. However, you are to keep them leashed and possibly muzzled, if the dog is known to bite. Remember their are families with small children and even other dogs around. Avoid incidents if at all possible. Police patrol the beach actively to ensure compliance. I hope this helps😁
When i went there i saw a lot of dogs so absolutely
