Mission bay has a permit policy if you have large parties you have to get a permit. Its posted on the large gazebos you can rent. Or call the ranger to the park or you can end up with a ticket you do not want.

I Shirley wagar was not asking a questions but trying to help answer one. Used to work out at mission bay for 3 years and knew a lot of park workers. If you look at the large gazebos they have all the rules and regulations and tell you of the permits for large groups etc....

Doesn't seem like Shirley is posting a question, but I read through the permit rules and regulations. I didn't see permit requirement based on quantity of people. More or less based on groups use of the facilities, trash cans a party jumper and making sure someone is taking responsibility for the group following the rules and also collecting the fees. :) There is also mention of purchasing insurance for everyone. To be able to help with specifics I'd have to know more information about the large party.

You can take your chances but I would get the permit

I would call to see if you need a permit just in case .You don't want people coming and they check n you have no permit. They may say you have to leave.l would definitely check.Anyway have a good time at your party
