My 2013 Model S is now very slow to start up and the screen doesn't light up. Is there a reinitialization process for the computer? Is it safe to drive as is?

Your best bet is to contact the Tesla customer service number as they don't monitor this site. There's a chance that if there is an issue it would be covered under warranty if you still have one but you need to contact them first.

As probably mentioned by others, hold down both scroll wheels to reboot computer. Pre-AP2 cars start up much quicker than current models but, regardless, it's safe to drive.
