Usually only if they are listed in the official police inventory sheet they make upon towing the vehicle. If its listed on there it better be there when you come to retrieve it. Thats your proof of it on that paper reciept

If you have a question ask it, if you have a beef with what happened to you or your car try taking it to the company, if they don't meet your satisfaction complain to the city or county (this is a regulated industry). Asking leading questions on Google is nonsense and won't settle anything.
