Lots of grass area to bring your own outdoor yard games - bochi ball, croquet, badminton, etc... Playground not very big. Best place to drive to play in the water is at Hood River. Nice protected area from watercrafts. Lots of great food, too.
it's on a river but no river access. there are spots all along the columbia to access the river, including some other state parks near by. there are a few little play things in the campground for kids.
