I am replacing the radio stack in my 2003 jag s type. I need to get a "code" from I guess the dealer. What is the process to get this code?

In order to assist you with that information, our people will need for you to provide the last eight digits of the VIN of the vehicle that the radio was originally installed in. Alternatively, they can assist you with the serial number from the back of the radio.

I don't think that it's necessary, I've never seen a code needed when switched radios in my car.
