My very recent experience is to buy the ticket online that is already discounted. I think there is no more discounts to offer. When you arrive at the Sea World go to the guest service first to get the online ticket scanned. After that ask the clerk about the show time for killer whales, dolphin, sea lion and so on. When I went there they do not allow you to bring some snacks or food except water bottle. They didnt ask me whether I am vaccinated or not. Everyone has to wear mask at all times. I would have your son see if he can get tickets on base. You do have to have a reservation to enter the park. You do NOT need a vaccination card. You CAN take your own food if you'd like. The rides are all slowly starting to open and as of 5/14 electric eel, manta and shipwreck rapids as well as most of the kid rides are open.
Cali residents don't have to show proof of vaccination. Half the rides are shut down. You have to buy your ticket online before entering. It's ridiculous you can't buy it at the window! It's also ridiculous that you can't bring your own food in not even anything but water! Yet there's bars everywhere! Then they expect you to get drunk af n buy their food! What do you want Sea world? A bunch of drinking n driving???!!! How do you expect these drunk people to get home safely? I still had fun not drinking and all the walk thru exhibits were really great! Don't drink n drive people....
You can't even get into Sea World right now if you don't have a Covid card. To your question, if he's with you I would think you could get a ticket at the discount price. I would purchase tickets online though
