Do you take trade ins? Do you sell any simple, basic mechanical sewing machines? I have a never used XR3140 Brother Computerized Sewing Machine that was purchased in 2012. I have never used it and am very intimidated by computerized machines.

Hi Pamela, Thanks for reaching out! Yes, we do take trade-ins, and we have many options for simple, basic mechanical sewing machines, starting around $150. Please feel free to stop by anytime with your trade-in, or give us a call and we can figure out some good machine options for you.

Yes, they do...but depends on brand. I believe they would tell you that you'll get more in a private sale. Contact your local sewing/quilting groups. Montavilla had a lower end group of machines. Jamone's, etc. You can contact them about getting lessons on your computer machine. I understand you fear as I live 65 miles away from dealers and if I screw up... well, you get it. Pay the $, take the lessons and you'll make friends. You'll feel comfortable enough to call them to walk you through any problems. Honestly, newer machines are easier to work with. They'll tell you if you are making a bad choice. Many will not allow you to run if the needle/feet, etc are not set right. Just look at your screen for answer!
