They sang for my son and gave him ice cream.

If u give them notice, order a cake or have one delivered ... what ever you arrange.
Sing Happy Birthday of request it
They at least give you a dessert, if not sing too.
I know they always sing. Haven't actually celebrated a birthday there recently.
One time they sang and a scoop of ice cream. Another birthday they just said happy birthday and that was it.
