You need make an appointment to bring in cats. I believe that applies to strays as well. They only have so much space so if they are full when you go in they won't be able to take in the cats you brought. I'd suggest you call them tomorrow between 11:00 and 6:00 and see about setting up an appointment.
They are often very busy, as they rely solely on volunteers, so it might be best to stop in if you have the chance. If you go in you will definitely be able to speak to someone who can answer any questions. The really do their very best with such a limited staff.
