As long as you have the account number,and the name of the persons account you want the cash or check to go into,then there should be no problems.
If you're a member you can deposit funds into your friend's account immediately (membership is free, takes 15 minutes to sign up). Otherwise you can drop the cash into the drop box and it'll hit his account in five business days or less.
