Unless you walk in some else’s shoes do not judge or point your finger ! There are times that people surrender there pets because of health issues of the owner! Or the pet has needs the owner cannot meet ! And there are times that you are correct !

Just because you give up an animal doesn't mean you dont care about that animal there are several reasons why we had to give our dog, our best friend we have been crying everyday and wishing that he was here but he was sick and we didnt have the funds to do all the testing that they wanted to do plus he was getting to big for our apartment and he needs a home with a big yard so he can run and i only want whats best for him

I'm sure you can. The general public can call and ask about the dogs, so I can't imagine that it would be any different if the previous owner was calling. You just might want to check online and see what name they are using for him/her because they do sometimes change the name.

If you are giving up the dog you clearly don't care, so, um?
