I have a full complete hospital bed with a hoist, swing and bed frame. It still mechanically works. Was wondering if this would be acceptable?

10-30-18 I'm not up on the latest scrap metal prices. The last I heard was about  $84/ton for ferrous (steel/iron) metal. If you take it to them, don't strip anything off. Anything & everything that is part of that bed can be included in the weight for ferrous scrap. However, if there are any metal parts from the bed -- or anything else you have -- that are non-ferrous (non-steel/iron) it may pay you to strip them off. Non-ferrous metals are worth MUCH more to the scrap/recycle businesses. Here's their home page: https://www.columbiarecyclingpdx.com They require patrons to be in the gate 30 minutes prior to closing. Hope this helps. Do you have an approximate total weight?  Have you considered donating the bed since it won't make you "rich"?

Yes but you won't get very much out of it, these guys pay cash but not much at all.
