We have done our share of picking up loads here. It gets a bit tight for the big trucks coming in. Everyone here has always been great. We have always been loaded in a timely manner and the office staff is very friendly. Hubby was always offered a snack or two. :) This place is like a maze and it can be entertaining watching people unload their items. We have watched some crazy things here, they do get the job done!

This is a very professional and easy to work with metal recycling business. We had been acquiring lots metal display racks and fixtures in my business over the past decade and it felt like it would be too big of an undertaking to get rid of ourselves. I contacted Jason and he came out to look at what we had, a week later a huge container was brought on site and we were able to correctly dispose of all our metal waste! Thanks again!

I had some kitchen odds and ends and I came across Calbag Metals for metal recycling. I have never been to a metal recycling location before and the folks at Calbag made me feel comfortable bringing in my few items for recycling. Nice to feel good about doing something so small.

Calbag metals is a good spot to go
Not sure about price--it's always on the move--but I believe that you'll get a fair price and the best service here.
If the bulbs, capacitors, and glass are removed you should have zero issues. Bulbs and capacitors should be taken to household hazardous waste. They have information on these materials on their Environmental Management System website 14001.calbag.co--look for a material acceptance policy and click through it.
Julie, We accept cars at our Tacoma, Washington location. Can you give us a call in Tacoma so we can give you more information? (253) 572-6800
Only bring the scrap you have
They don't sell scrap to the public. To see the production of the plant you need some sort of an appointment
Yes, they do. No propane tanks, though, and if it's stainless steel you will probably get a bit more money for separating it from the steel parts, including any screws.
Oregon State law requires Oregon scrap dealers to hold payment for three business days. Washington scrap dealers have lesser restrictions.
Yes but worth it . They pay good on things that Longview Washington wants you to give them.
Hello Cathy, Calbag Metals recycles old rusty kitchen chairs. Thanks Omar
Hello Celine, yes you may bring in iron weights and your microwave for recycling. Thanks Omar
Yes, it would be considered steel.
Hello Cynthia, we do recycle cast iron and we pay $0.03 cents a pound. Thanks Omar
Yes, they will take them. No fee. They will buy it for the steel, though the value of steel is quite low right now.
Sorry I don't but give them a call they'd be happy to help you with that question
Each container has it's own Tare weight
