Yes you can it's lots of fun especially for the children if you have children to get to know the animals to play with them and see how they are with the child
There are a few play rooms that you can play with and see the cats and kittens, and last time i was there, they happily give you alone time in private rooms to get to know the cats. Before, they also offered to take back any furry friend who does not work out, no questions asked. Ive adopted two cats from CAT.
Ordinarily you visit the cats and if you want to spend some one on one time with a certain cat you tell an adoption specialist and they'll arrange that. If that's not the one for you you can choose another one, they don't want you to just get any cat, they want you to get your new forever cat.
Good question, they let you pet them when you've made a decision, I really don't know if before that.
