plug it to your computer, get your deviceId and use apple care web site to check your insurance online
Best thing to do is go online to Apple's support warranty site at checkcoverage.apple.com and enter your serial number. It will tell you if your coverage is still in effect. If so, you can schedule an appointment with the Apple store or so a mail in repair. You can also do out of warranty service the same way.
Call the store first before going there.
