Does the 2014 Silverado crew Cab Z71 pickup, have any alarms that may sound off while it is being shipped over the road across country? If so, can they be temporarily disabled? Thanks.

The vehicle should not have any alarms that go off unless a door is opened. Depending on if you are doing this yourself or using a transport company you have different options. A transport company usually wont allow you to disconnect the battery because it would have to be reconnected every time your vehicle may need to be moved. If you are towing the vehicle yourself on a trailer you could disconnect the battery which would disable all alarms. Do not disconnect the vehicle if you are flat towing or dinghy towing. If you have any further questions regarding this please feel free to contact our Service Department at 253-620-1900.

There should not be any alarms that go off. Unless you have a car alarm then it should be able to turn it off while in transit.

You can disconnect the battery

If the alarm does go off eventually the battery will die and that will be the end of that
