I was told if it runs and you drive it in they pay a lot more. Is this true?

I called. They offered me $20 even if I drove it in. The lady told me it was a rumor. Urban Legend, if you will. My local junkyard offered me $35 how ever it got there. 😒

I would call them directly and ask. It would make sense to me but I don't know.
