MCAS takes in stray animals from Multnomah County. There are other shelters for owner surrender pets such as the Oregon Humane society. We do have guinea pigs for adoption. We do not euthanize for space or except owner surrenders for euthansia, but if an animal in our care is unhealthy/ untreatable and suffering euthanasia is sometimes an option. If you are looking for a place to have your pet euthanized I recommend taking it to your vet.

Yes, we take them. There is no time limit for an animal at the shelter.
