how come "volunteers" are paid $11 per hour & take more food than the people standing in line waiting for food? i thought volunteer is not paid.why is 90% of the food over a week past expiration.not acceptable that they get home with spoiled produce

Some of the volunteers come in early and work for 4 hours so they shop before they leave. I know that most of the volunteers are not paid for there time, the only paid employees are the Manager and his Second in command. That is true the SE NORICH FOOD BANK. (Tacoma) (85th and Portland)

When I volunteered I was not paid nor was I given first pick. I was told I could take some food home after we closed.
