That would depend on your insurance. Our insurance does not require a referral, therefore we did not have one. We set up the appointment and the registrar verified our insurance was accepted. It's always a good idea to check with your insurance company first though!
Some health plans require a referral for specialty services. Check with your insurance to confirm whether needed for your claim to be covered.
